POOL UPDATE – JUNE 24, 2024

The engineering plans, funding, materials, trades, vacuum truck and regulatory bodies have finally aligned and the replacement main electrical feed to Mackenzie Community School (and the Community Pool) was installed on June 21-23, 2024.

Thanks to Renfrew County and District School Board, Yemen Electric, P&G Enterprises and Town Staff for successfully completing Phase 1.

Phase 2 will be to connect the new cabling to the switch gear in Mackenzie Community School.  This step is scheduled to happened on July 2-4, 2024.

Once full power is restored to the pool, the Dectron heating unit for the pool will undergo testing to meet operation standards.   Once the Dectron unit passes inspection, heating the pool water will start.

We are hopeful the pool will re-open mid-July.  The Town will implement a soft opening by introducing swimming lessons at the pool, programs and recreational swims in stages the remainder of July.

We appreciate everyone's continued patience.

The Town of Deep River is proud of the diverse range of recreational services available to our community. Citizens are encouraged to participate and take advantage of the opportunities available to learn new skills and to make new friends.

If we currently do not offer a program that you would like to participate in, please feel free to contact us and we will work towards implementing it. We wish you a very healthy season and invite you to enjoy the benefits of participating in our community services.
