Cross River Swim (As part of the Water & Dirt Festival) Sunday, August 11th

Challenge yourself to a race across the Ottawa River in a test of endurance!

A Water and Dirt Festival event, this ~1.5km interprovincial race starts on the sandy shores of Indian Point Beach, QC and finishes at Riverbank Park (Centennial Terrace) in the Town of Deep River.
Race will occur on Sunday, August 11th. 2024.

Registration Fee includes: event swag bag and ticket for post-race brunch
Swimmers and their spotters must report to Indian Point by 8:45 am for the briefing session.
Race begins 9am sharp.

Registration Deadline is noon on Wednesday, July 31st at noon.

Prerequisites:

Must be a comfortable swimmer and capable of finishing race with a maximum time of 1 hour 30min.

Must provide a spotter and a boat: Canoe, kayak, SUP (no motorboats as personal safety craft)
Boat must be equipped with: whistle, bailer, floating line, boater kit, flashlight, and a PFD (lifejacket) for each paddle plus one extra.

Youth 12-18 can participant with parental consent.

Information & Requirements:
Each swimmer is responsible for obtaining his/her own boat and being at Indian Point (Quebec side) no later than
8:45 a.m. The Swim Coordinators reserve the right to commence the swim not later than 9:00 am.

The finish line will be between two orange markers in front of Centennial Terrace.

Brunch and presentation of awards will take place at the Yacht and Tennis Club (Hexagon Restaurant) immediately following the swim.

Online registration will close at NOON on Wednesday, July 31st. Registrations after July 31st can be made by contacting the Deep River Community Pool at 613-584-2000 ext. 182. Please note late registrants will not be eligible to receive "race swag" or brunch ticket.
