NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND PUBLIC MEETING
In the matter of Section 34 of the Planning Act, the Town of Deep River hereby gives NOTICE OF THE FOLLOWING:
i) Application to amend the Zoning By-law 07-2024 of the Town of Deep River.
ii) A public meeting regarding application for amendment to the Zoning By-law 07-2024 of the Town of Deep River.
Subject Lands Part of Blk N, Plan 331, in the Town of Deep River (Avon Road), as shown on the attached Key Map.
Public Meeting A public meeting to inform the public of the proposed zoning amendment will be held at the Town of Deep River Municipal Office on November 20th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment
The purpose of the proposed zoning by-law amendment is to rezone the subject lands to permit a row stacked dwelling, to reduce the interior side yard width requirement from 3 metres to 1.2 metres, and to reduce the required parking spaces from 14 parking spaces to 10 parking spaces.
The effect of the amendment is to rezone the subject lands from Residential Two (R2) to Residential Three – Exception Three (R3-E3).
Additional information regarding the Zoning By-law amendment is available for inspection at the Town of Deep River Municipal Office during regular office hours.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Deep River before the by-law is passed by the Town, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Deep River, to the Ontario Land Tribunal, and the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

Please note that third parties (anyone who is not a specified person or public body) do not have the right to appeal a decision for a zoning by-law amendment to the Ontario Land Tribunal.
