Deep River
UPDATE: September 17, 2026
Two individuals have been charged in connection with the September 9, 2026 stabbing investigation in Deep River, including a 26-year-old Deep River resident charged with attempted murder. A 69-year-old Deep River resident has also been charged in connection with the incident.
On September 9, 2026, emergency services responded to reports of a serious assault in the area of McElligott Drive. One individual was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing, and investigators continue to ask residents and businesses in the areas of Glendale Avenue, McElligott Drive and surrounding neighbourhoods to review any security, doorbell or dash camera footage captured on September 9, 2026.
Anyone with relevant video footage or information that may assist investigators is urged to contact the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP at 1-888-310-1122. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or visit http://ontariocrimestoppers.ca.

MISE À JOUR : Deux personnes ont été inculpées dans le cadre de l'enquête sur l'agression à l'arme blanche survenue le 9 septembre 2026 à Deep River, dont un résident de Deep River âgé de 26 ans accusé de tentative de meurtre. Un résident de Deep River âgé de 69 ans a également été inculpé dans le cadre de cet incident.
Le 9 septembre 2026, les services d’urgence sont intervenus à la suite de signalements faisant état d’une agression grave dans le secteur de la promenade McElligott. Une personne a été transportée à l’hôpital avec des blessures mettant sa vie en danger.
L’enquête se poursuit, et les enquêteurs continuent de demander aux résidents et aux entreprises situés dans les secteurs de l’avenue Glendale, de la promenade McElligott et des quartiers avoisinants de visionner toute vidéo de sécurité, de sonnette ou de caméra embarquée enregistrée le 9 septembre 2026.
Toute personne disposant d’images vidéo pertinentes ou d’informations susceptibles d’aider les enquêteurs est priée de communiquer avec la Police provinciale de l’Ontario (OPP) de la Haute-Vallée-de-l’Outaouais au 1-888-310-1122.
